URBAN SEAL WATERPROOFING
Rooftop Waterproofing
Rooftops bear the brunt of severe weather changes—experiencing intense solar heat during the summer and heavy rain during monsoon seasons. Over time, concrete roofs develop hairline thermal expansion cracks, causing water to pool and seep into the structural slab.
Common Causes of Roof Leaks
- Thermal stress: Continuous expansion and contraction cycles of concrete.
- Improper drainage: Water accumulation due to incorrect slope levels around drains.
- Failing joint seals: Seepage at concrete-to-wall expansion joints.
Our Rooftop Waterproofing Process
- Surface Preparation: High-pressure grinding to remove old coatings, dust, and loose aggregates.
- Crack Treatment: V-grooving and sealing structural cracks using acrylic/polyurethane sealants.
- Primer Coat: Applying a high-penetration polymer primer to bind dust and seal pores.
- Membrane Application: Coating with multi-layer elastomeric waterproofing chemicals (PU or acrylic polymer).
- Top Coat protection: Applying an optional UV-reflective protective layer to reduce roof temperature.
